Fiberglass Material Council Approves Publishing of Finishes Standards Suite During Annual Conference

The Fiberglass Material Council successfully balloted the 2017 versions of several finishes documents during the Annual Conference this past February. That suite of standards is now available in AAMA’s Online Store. Additionally, an update to the AAMA 305 is progressing, and is currently out for Task Group ballot. Case Study: After Fallen Tree Damages Cabin, New Fiberglass-Exterior Windows Withstand Elements

When a cabin suffered damage from a fallen tree along the Merced River Yosemite National Park area in California, the owners decided to rebuild it as a guest home for visiting friends and family. They identified their desired look as an English cottage style and brought in designer Jeanie Bartholomew to help with this vision. A civil engineer was also added to ensure the style could support the design.

FMC Reviews Finishes Trilogy Update, AAMA 305, Others at Summer Conference

At the AAMA Summer Conference, the Fiberglass Material Council heard updates on documents including the AAMA 305 and the AAMA Finishes Trilogy. The Color Space (Hunter/CIELAB) Task Group also shared information on their plans to align color guidelines. Further work will be conducted in September at the AAMA Fall Conference in Savannah, GA.
