Aluminum windows provide homeowners with a modern look and feel, due to their thin frames and clean lines that direct your eye to the interior space and exterior views. The Munday family, living in the San Francisco Bay Area, wanted their home to embrace their beautiful view and an indoor/outdoor living lifestyle.

Working with Connect Homes, a pre-fabricated home manufacturer, they purchased a 2,560-square-foot home with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths and shipped it from the factory in Los Angeles to their location in Northern California. The open concept floor plan, a quintessential feature of modern living, was a must.

The Milgard bronze anodized aluminum windows added to the modern feeling and the large walls of windows let in a lot of light and made the most of their view.

“The house feels airy and open and functions very well,” Ben Munday told the company. “We have large windows high up on the double height living room, which is my favorite part of the house. The floor to ceiling vertical windows give a very dramatic sense, especially on the upper floor where you can look down. I also love the narrow window styles that give a modernist feel. The windows feel very solid, [and] function well.”

The home is nestled into the hillside making it easy for their family to connect with nature and spot the local wildlife through almost any window. And now, they can really let the outside in when all the windows are open and the refreshing cross breeze blows through.
