Essentials of the “Buy Clean California” Act

The Buy Clean California Act (formerly Assembly Bill 262) was signed into law on October 15, 2017. John Jewell of thinkstep explained to AAMA Western Region Summit participants that the goal is to accelerate greenhouse gas reductions by incorporating product manufacturing emissions information into procurement decisions, in the form of a Global Warming Potential (GWP) rating.
