Florence Nicolici | AAMA Meetings Manager | 30th Anniversary30 years ago, gas cost $1.09 a gallon, the Kansas City Royals defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series and the Chicago Bears walloped the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl 46-10. While many things have changed during the last 30 years at AAMA, one thing has remained the same: Florence Nicolici is the most skilled meeting and events planner in all of Chicago.

What does it take Attention to detail? Yes. Savvy contract negotiations skills? Absolutely. But perhaps her most valuable attribute is in establishing long term friendships with AAMA members. These relationships provide Florence with valuable meeting content and location input. With 60 conferences and 5,400 individual task group and committee meetings under her belt, she knows what works and when things should change.

Florence is also tenacious, securing concessions on certain amenities like Wi-Fi, ice cream bars and upgraded rooms at no additional cost. And whether it’s an air conditioning system on the fritz or pots and pans clanging in the kitchen, Florence is “on-it” in a heartbeat.

AAMA is proud to acknowledge Florence for her dedication and many contributions over the past 30 years. Besides being a meeting manager extraordinaire, she always makes time for two wonderful grandchildren and plans activities for her church – which typically involve accommodating and feeding over 100 people (sound familiar?)

We thank Florence Nicolici for her 30 years of service, and we look forward to many more.
