We all know how much emphasis our industry puts on plant safety, and rightly so – safety in manufacturing is a critical matter. However, it’s just as important to get safety information and awareness to customers. That’s why AAMA is actively involved in the promotion of window safety. Take time this spring to share window safety tips with your customers during Window Safety Week, the first full week of April (April 7-13 this year). The pre-designed 2019 Window Safety Week Tool Kit makes it easy for your company to promote safety, too.

This kit was developed by the Window Safety Task Force – an industry coalition that includes AAMA, the Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) and the Screen Manufacturers Association (SMA) in cooperation with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the National Safety Council (NSC) and other organizations, as well as leading manufacturers of windows, doors and screens. This kit contains materials to promote window safety awareness in your own company, as well as with your customers. This information is geared to being shared with family and friends as well as community, club or service organizations or the media.

Kit elements include:

  • Why Window Safety Week is so important
  • What companies can do to help promote window safety
  • Tips to share with employees and customers regarding window safety
  • Articles for your company newsletter or announcement
  • Email template to send to company employees and customers
  • Social media information and sample posts for companies

Though Window Safety Week is an important annual reminder, window safety education should be ongoing, occurring throughout the year. To help teach children about window safety, an activity book is available from the task force, as well as additional information for parents and caregivers. AAMA works every year with the Window Safety Task Force. Follow the task force on Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to re-tweet and share their tips all week to get this important information out to your customers and other followers.
