FGIA to Cover Education Programs, Field Testing, Preventing IG Failures at GlassBuild Connect September 1-30
As announced last month, FGIA is pleased to participate as an association partner in GlassBuild Connect: The Glass & Fenestration Online Experience, taking place September 1-30 at GlassBuild.com. We have prepared a slate of interesting and educational sessions that we are excited to share with participants, and we hope you’ll join us for this popular industry event in its new virtual setting. Read on for details of what to expect from FGIA at GlassBuild Connect.
Starting September 1, those who register at GlassBuild.com can connect to learn about thousands of products and services from nearly 350 of the industry’s leading glass and fenestration suppliers. Registration will also provide access to daily educational events, economic and trend forecast presentations, product demonstrations and other informative programming throughout the month. Registrants will get alerts about special content for each themed weekday:
- Manufacturing Mondays
- Outlook Tuesdays
- Performance Wednesdays
- Installation Thursdays
- Fenestration Fridays
FGIA is contributing several sessions to GlassBuild Connect, covering industry hot topics proven popular by previous engagement through the FGIA Teaching Tuesday webinar program and the many FGIA education programs. Here is what you can expect from FGIA at the event:
September 2: Field Testing | Newly Installed Fenestration
For Performance Wednesday, enjoy a webinar on field testing, followed by a live Q&A session with Jason Seals, Certification Services Manager, Fenestration.
September 10: InstallationMasters | AAMA 2400 Installation Methods
For Installation Thursday, take part in a step-by-step instruction of the consensus-based AAMA 2400 installation methods, including an overview of the InstallationMasters program. As we know, proper installation is critical to a product’s performance.
September 14: Preventing Insulating Glass (IG) Failures | Forensic Investigation
For Manufacturing Monday, participate in “Forensic Investigation of IG Failures,” a presentation covering ways to determine the causes of various types of failures impacting IG unit performance. This session will also be followed by a live Q&A.
September 23: FenestrationMasters | North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) Requirements
Again, on Performance Wednesday, learn about the requirements and test methods in NAFS, the industry’s primary fenestration product performance standard. This program features modules from FenestrationMasters, which now includes updated content reflecting current technical documents and standards as well as code requirements in a redesigned, more interactive platform.
