I joined the AAMA Marketing Department almost five years ago, and I am proud to be part of a team and an association that is so committed to its hard-working members. AAMA is constantly working toward bettering its member experience and adding to its slate of services and tools offered.

In my role as AAMA Communications Coordinator, I specialize in written communications as well as social media. Have you thought about setting up a Facebook Business page for your company, but feel unsure about where to start? Or maybe you’re interested in learning a new-to-you platform, like Twitter or Instagram? You can email me at mwilliams@aamanet.org and I’ll set up an online informational one-on-one with you at your convenience. I also write a blog called Socially Speaking, which is specifically about using social media to benefit the fenestration industry. Each monthly post is full of great ideas and tips tailored to manufacturers and suppliers of windows, doors and skylights.

This year, I’ve been given the opportunity to lead a series of social media workshops at AAMA conferences, covering tools like Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. After each workshop, a webinar version of each is held for those unable to attend in-person events. Check out some of the social media webinars I’ve offered in the past and be sure to share them with your teams.

Social media may be my specialty, but whether it’s sitting down one-on-one with members for social media training sessions or designing a white paper, I’m happy to work with members to help them get what they need.

What do you get out of most from the AAMA Marketing team? Maybe it's our personal touch through social media outreach; maybe it’s the updates we’ve made to our comprehensive website; or maybe it's the marketing networking experience you gain at in-person meetings, or through our monthly webinars. Whatever provides you the most benefit, please share it with us, so we can best promote these aspects to potential new participants.

Along those lines, AAMA is always looking for more marketing-focused members. If you know of someone at your company who might like to get involved, please connect them with the AAMA Marketing Department by contacting marketing@aamanet.org.
