Grab a Road Map to Economic Trends at the Summer Conference
Will you be traveling to Lake Tahoe this June for the AAMA Summer Conference? I’ll be there, helping industry leaders advance codes and technical matters along with standards development – while enjoying being outside in Northern California, of course. I’m excited for our speakers, especially the one giving our keynote address. John Manzella, speaker and author, will provide an overview of economic trends, critical global issues and what’s to come. We could all use a road map in 2018, and I’m interested in the analysis John provides to help us all navigate these uncertain waters and reduce risk.
Nick Limb from Ducker Worldwide will discuss the most recent AAMA industry market study, featuring highlights of current trends and future changes in the market (plus, how the study is conducted). If registrants have been curious about the work that goes into this important study, this session is a must-attend. Another across-the-board speaker, Annie Perkins, will give a presentation titled, “Indoor Air: 90 Percent of the Air You Breathe.” Perkins will address the implications of indoor air quality to occupant health, well-being, and productivity. Sustainability continues to be a large topic of interest among those leading the industry, and this presentation seeks to offer the latest on what consumers care about.
In addition to these excellent speakers, there are several optional networking events. If you’ve ever wanted to try fly fishing or white-water rafting, this is your chance. Both activities, along with the traditional golf scramble and an off-site dinner at Gar Woods – a beautiful restaurant and events space named for noted engineer, industrialist and inventor, Garfield Woods – are being offered at the Summer Conference.
Immediately following the national event is the Western Region 2018 Summer Summit. Register for this regionally-focused event to hear about topics like 2019 California Energy Standards, Canadian energy codes, legislative initiatives from the California Building Industry Association and more.
See you in Lake Tahoe! I’m looking forward to thawing out from this year’s cold Chicago winter.
