As we know, GlassBuild 2020 could not take place in person this year due to COVID-19 concerns. However, event organizers were able to pivot to a new format quickly, leading to the creation of GlassBuild Connect! This glass- and fenestration-centric online experience is taking place September 1-30 at GlassBuild.com. The biggest thing many will miss this year is the in-person contact folks usually enjoy at GlassBuild. While online is not a replacement, there are still many opportunities to connect with others “at the show.”

When sharing your social media posts about GlassBuild, use the hashtag #GlassBuildConnect on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. The GlassBuild Twitter account will be live tweeting sessions and sharing companies’ posts. FGIA, an association partner of the event, will be monitoring posts all month and sharing what our members are up to. Additionally, FGIA will be providing content for four sessions during GlassBuild’s themed weekday events. Visit the FGIA site for more information about the alliance’s activities during GlassBuild Connect. If you haven’t registered yet, now is the time.

For more ways to use social media to connect with your audiences during the pandemic, check out last month’s Socially Speaking post for some ideas.

Those already looking to 2021 can make an early plan to exhibit at GlassBuild America in-person next year, September 13-15, in Atlanta, GA. There, companies can showcase their equipment, products and services, increase your brand awareness and win business at GlassBuild America, the largest glass, window and door trade show in North America.

Meanwhile, is your company participating in GlassBuild Connect? Comment below with your plans. FGIA is excited to share its members’ GlassBuild Connect social media posts throughout the month of September.
